What is Rhinoplasty?

The nose occupies a central position in the face and contributes to overall facial beauty and a pleasing look. A straight and symmetrical nose adds more attractiveness to one’s personality, while a crooked and deformed nose detracts from it.

Nose reshaping surgery, or rhinoplasty, encompasses a variety of surgeries designed to correct deformities and intensify nasal proportions. The rhinoplasty surgery helps to correct the bump of the bridge (dorsal hump), nasal width, twisted nose, prominent nasal tip, post-traumatic deformities (nasal injury), and internal valve collapse.

What is the best way of surgery?

an open approach or an endonasal approach.

Ans: What you, as a patient, are looking for is long-term results in rhinoplasty. One might think that the closed approach is advantageous because of the fastest recovery. However, in my opinion, permanent results are more important. As I have observed in my practice, if the permanent result after 1 year is unsatisfactory, it does not matter which approach you choose.

Benefits of closed tech
  • The patient complained about a nasal bridge or dorsal hump, and immediately after surgery, the hump was removed. In my opinion, only minor correction cases
  • The advantage of the open technique.

According to my understanding of rhinoplasty, success does not result from the approach chosen. If we want to have a satisfying result, better to understand the anatomic problems of the nose and then should perform rhinoplasty. Maximum results can be reached with minor interventions.

Initial consultation:

Better to come personally and meet the expert/if not feasible due to the distance plz talk telephonically and get online teleconsultation along with some of your profile pictures as well.

Do I need a Rhinoplasty?

If your nose is crooked, badly shaped and its shape is out of alignment.

  • If you are Unhappy with the shape, size, appearance, and angle of their nose.
  • The nose seems to be a continuation of the forehead (like the movie “Avatar” nose)
  • If you Wanna correct your nasal hump or a drooping or elevated nasal tip.

Suffering from breathing difficulty and congenital birth defects.

How is it done?

All procedures are done only under general anesthesia to ensure patient comfort during the surgery.

Do I need admission for this?

Yes, admission requires a maximum of a day.

What should I expect post-surgery?

After the surgery, a nasal splint is used over the nose that provides support, and also protects the nose while sleeping, and provides a shield from accidental injuries.

How much time it takes for final results:

6months -1 year

Are there any Side effects
  • Temporary bruising
  • Swelling
  • Mild pain
  • Nasal stuffiness
Any risks:

Unsatisfactory shape or size as per your expectations.

How much should I expect for surgery cost?

The actual cost of nose surgery (rhinoplasty) is anywhere between INR 50,000 and INR 1,50,000. This difference is mainly because of the hospital setup; however, the surgeon is the same. This is almost 1/3 of the Western world, i.e., USD 5000 to 10,000.
